Our School Library

 A library is a storehouse of knowledge. It can help a man to satisfy his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. A library is a part and parcel of an educational institution. Our school has a rice library. It is housed in a separate building. Our school library is well-decorated. There are three big room in it. The two room are reading rooms. Boys and girl have separate rooms. In the other room books are arranged in almiras. There are about 5,000 books in our library. They include many reference books on history and culture in our library. Only the students can read and borrow books from the library. For this they are issued keep them at home for a week. But in the reading room he is allowed to read as many books as he can. The library keeps open from 9 am to 5 pm except holidays. The librarian sits at a corner of the library. He is assisted by a staff who helps the students find books. He gives them books and again keeps the books back in the shelf. The librarian and his assistant behave well with us. We feel a great attraction for the library. We are really proud of our school library. 

গ্রন্থাগার একটি জ্ঞানের ভান্ডার । এটি মানুষের জ্ঞানের অতৃপ্ত তৃষ্ণাকে তৃপ্ত করতে সহায়তা করে । গ্রন্থাগার একটি শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানের অবিচ্ছেদ্য অংশ । আমাদের বিদ্যালয়ে একটি সমৃদ্ধ গ্রন্থাগার রয়েছে । এটি একটা পৃথক ভবনে অবস্থিত । আমাদের বিদ‍্যালয়ের গ্রন্থাগারটি সুসজ্জিত । এতে তিনটি বড় বড় কক্ষ রয়েছে । অন্য কক্ষের আলমারীর মধ্যে ব‌ইগুলো সাজানো থাকে । আমাদের গ্রন্থাগারে প্রায় ৫,০০০ টি ব‌ই রয়েছে । সেগুলো আমাদের বিভিন্ন বিষয়ের সহায়ক ব‌ইয়ের‌ অন্তর্ভুক্ত । আমাদের গ্রন্থাগারে ইতিহাস এবং সংস্কৃতির ওপর‌ও কিছু দূর্লভ ব‌ই রয়েছে । শুধু শিক্ষার্থীরা গ্রন্থাগার থেকে ব‌ই পড়তে ও ধার নিতে পারে । এই জন্য তাদের গ্রন্থাগার কার্ড দেয়া হয়ে থাকে । একজন শিক্ষার্থী একসাথে দুইটা বা তিনটা ব‌ই নিতে পারে এবং এগুলো এক সপ্তাহের জন্য বাড়িতে নিয়ে রাখতে পারে । কিন্তু পাঠকক্ষে সে যত খুশী তত ব‌ই পড়তে পারে । এটি ছুটির দিন ছাড়া সকাল ৯ টা থেকে বিকাল ৫ টা পর্যন্ত খোলা থাকে । গ্রন্থাগারিক গ্রন্থাগারের এক কোণে বসে । একজন সহকর্মী যে শিক্ষার্থীদের ব‌ই খুঁজতে সাহায্য করে । সে তাদেরকে ব‌ই দেয় এবং তাদের থেকে পুনরায় গ্রহণ করে ব‌ইগুলো তাকে রাখে । গ্রন্থাগারিক ও তার সহকর্মী আমাদের সকলের সাথে ভালো আচরণ করে । আমাদের স্কুলের গ্রন্থাগারটি আমাদের নিকট বিরাট আকর্ষণ । সত‍্যিই আমরা আমাদের বিদ‍্যালয়ের গ্রন্থাগারের জন্য গর্বিত ।
